The Thanksgiving turkey has been eaten and the Christmas lights have been strung, but now arrives the most stressful part of the semester for students before the joy of Christmas break is in full effect. The three weeks in between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break may as well be three months. The days are jam-packed with last minute tests, projects and papers. So many papers. Professors pile on the work as you try to juggle it all while studying and preparing yourself for finals' week. However, there are many ways to relax and make it through these busy weeks of late nights and early mornings. Whether you like surfing the web or going out for a brisk walk when your eyes start to droop, you need to give yourself breaks. One of the best ways to relax in between study sessions is to indulge in the perfect finals’ week snack. Grab a grocery list and get the snacks below. They are sure to keep you energized until break when you can finally take that long-awaited winter's nap.

1. Popcorn

Popcorn is a great choice for a study snack. Healthy, salty and crunchy is the perfect trio for this snack that will have you snacking all night long. Grab a handful of popcorn while you are feeling bored and get a buttery boost of energy.

2. Cheese and Crackers

This classic duo is an A+ is the snack department. The protein and calcium from cheese will keep you studying all night long. This low sugar snack will help prevent the sugar rush and inevitable crash of caffeine and soda. Pick your favorite cheese and cracker combo and get ready for a super productive study sesh.

3. Belvita Breakfast Biscuits

These are my go-to college snack. Packed with whole grains and protein, these breakfast cookies create hours of energy when you start your morning with a pack of biscuits in a variety of flavors.

4. Chocolate Covered Nuts

When you are on your third essay of the week, you deserve to treat yo’self. Go for chocolate covered nuts to satisfy your sweet tooth and give you an added boost of energy for that last essay or two.

5. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

For a boost of brainpower when the hours in front of your laptop start to drag on, choose a healthy and clean source of vitamins and minerals in fresh fruits and vegetables. Ideal for breakfast, noon and night.

Freebie: Coffee

While it may not be considered a snack, a coffee break (or five) is an essential part of your

finals’ week routine. Try to balance the caffeine with some good, old-fashioned

H20. And when you do reach for that warm cup of joe, try a cup of Holiday

Blend. Even the stress of finals’ can’t take away your Christmas spirit.

As we embark on finals week, try some of these delicious and helpful snacks. In no time at all, you will be prancing out of your classes and into a one horse open sleigh!

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

On a level of 1-10 with 1 being chill and 10 being stressed the flip out, you could say I'm a 9. Worrying about the future, grades, GPA, work, assignments, and a lack of sleep and food will do it to ya.

While it is normal to experience stress and nervousness, the thoughts that come along with it can bring up something else.
