If Your Friends Were A Box Of Chocolates

You never know what you're gonna get.

If Your Friends Were A Box Of Chocolates

Eating out of an assortment box of chocolates is like gambling. It's dangerous and could very well end poorly. The vast amount of variety is what keeps the chocolate box interesting and makes it special. There is often another aspect of life that mirrors the variety of a box of chocolates—our friendships. In this case, variety is very good. It introduces us to new personalities and sweetens up our lives.

1. Caramel

The caramel chocolate is your best friend. This person is the most loyal and dependable, always willing to stand by you in an argument and encourage you when you're down. They've been around for a long time, and they are probably your partner in crime. They wouldn't bail you out of jail because they would be in there with you.

2. Cherry Cordial

A cherry cordial is the quiet girl or guy next door. It takes a while for you to warm up to them, but once you get to know them, they will always pleasantly surprise you. They are traditional and sweet, always willing to go out of their way to do something nice for someone else.

3. Coconut

This friend is an acquired taste. They have odd interests that make them incredibly unique and captivating. Their personalities make them stand out from the rest because they are usually very extreme in one aspect. Sometimes, this person may be divisive since people often really like them or really don't.

4. Chocolate Cream

The chocolate cream is the life of the party. This friend believes in living life to the fullest and does not shy away from challenges. They add richness to the lives of everyone they encounter because they have such a passion for what they do. They may not know exactly where they are going in life, but know it will be a great journey.

5. Toffee

This is your friend that is always up late in the library studying. They put 200 percent into their work at all times and are not afraid to go after what they want. They are usually straight-edge and goal-oriented, using self-discipline to get where they want to go. Although some may see this person as hard and uptight, they are really just driven and motivated to achieve their goals.

6. Chocolate Covered Peanuts

This is your rebel friend. They are the troublemakers who are always willing to push boundaries and ask more from society and others around them. They believe in being unconventional and thinking outside the box to solve problems. This person is often the most creative friend and the one who is willing to try anything new.

7. Roman Nougat

This friend may have been guarded when you first got to know them, but they turned out to be a real softie. They may appear rough around the edges, putting up a tough front, when they are actually a genuinely caring human being. It may take a while to become close to this friend, but once they trust you, you are in forever.

Each of our friendships is unique, as are chocolates in a box of chocolate. We should appreciate the variety in our lives and be thankful for the different inputs that we receive from different friends' personalities. As for a box of chocolates, well, those still may be more of a gamble.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
