I have only been in college for a month now, and money is already an issue..especially when you do not have or cannot get a job on campus. Everyone needs money for a variety of different necessities. For example, groceries, different means of entertainment, but most importantly, college tuition.
When a college student is living back home, in the summer or even on breaks during the school year, they most likely have a job of their own. It does not matter how many hours they get in each week or what their schedule looks like monthly, because at the end of the day, they are still getting paid weekly. Money is money. We all need it. However, it is not always going to be easily handed to you. Although these college students may or may not have jobs back home, what happens when they are at school, hundreds of miles away from home, with no job? At this point, you may be thinking to yourself, “Well, why don't they just get a job on/around campus?” The answer to your question is this: it is not always going to be that easy, as many, if not all jobs not only require each applicant to fill out an application form and get interviewed by either the business owner, manager, or by both, but because the job’s schedule needs to fit around the student’s scattered class schedules each week, if it is even possible.
College is very beneficial for each and every student’s futures. However, the tuition is very expensive. It does not matter who is paying for it, tens of thousands of dollars is being spent each year, per student, for an education that will help build their careers; that will help build their life. With that being said, the money is being well spent, but where is that money coming from if the student is paying for their own tuition? They need to make money one way or another.
A job is a job; it does not matter where you do, just get one. Money is money; spend it wisely. Save up.
