Summer in college is a bittersweet time. On one hand, you can enjoy much needed time away from the stress of classes. On the other hand, you're suddenly far away from some of your closest friends for months. Still, you have dreams of an exciting summer full of adventures, relaxations, and a possible summer fling... All of which, may or may not happen. Regardless of if your summer is full of surfing some waves or surfing through Netflix, Gilmore Girls knows how you really feel.

1. Your plans right after finals.

2. For once, you don't have to worry about Mondays.

3. You're going to ignore all your problems like it's your job and enjoy summer.

4. You have dreams of what your summer is going to be like.

5. In reality, you have to spend a lot more time with your family than your sanity can handle.

6. When you visit your grandparents (or any family), and they're bound to ask about your love life.

7. Because on the off chance you meet someone cute who could be a possible summer fling, you lose the ability to form coherent sentences.

8. Not to mention that you haven't seen your college friends in such a long time.

9. But you get to catch up with old friends back home.

10. Your sleep schedule is completely flipped.

11. We can all agree that the best part of summer is that you don't have to deal with people unless you want to.

12. It's a fine line between having fun and not becoming the next Lindsay Lohan.

13. When summer finally ends, you're happy to see your friends, but depressed to be hitting the books again.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester.
