Madonna University: Your College Experience
Madonna University

Summer is winding down for most college students and have started already or starting soon. Another semester starting for me at Madonna University which I am excited about. I can't wait to see some of my friends that I haven't seen all summer and to start my classes on Monday. I am excited to start my senior year of college! When hitting the books and studying at Madonna University there are some great things and new things happening and students should try to be a part of especially the first year students. Here are some of the events/clubs and organizations/dances what this university has to offer and some of the other college as well:

1. Go to a home sports game during college! I went to my first one which was the Homecoming basketball game which was both the men's and women's basketball teams.

2. Join a club or organization such as No Strings Attached: A Cappella Singing Group. It is a fun group to be a part of because they sing at special events, have concerts during the holidays and also a great group of people like a family. Campus Ministry is another organization to get involved with too and it is also does retreats and such. They have about 40 active student-led organizations and honor societies. There is also a great opportunity to have your voice heard at the Student Senate which is so cool.

3. Go on a Madonna Miles trip such as seeing a show at the Fisher Theater in Detroit like Dirty Dancing, a Detroit Tigers Game, and many more.

4. Go to on campus dances that Madonna University has to offer. There were two dances this past year and are back this year such as Homecoming in the Fall semester and in the Winter semester the dance is a Spring Fling which the students get to dress up which is awesome.

5. Community service at Madonna is great because you have many opportunities to get involved with that such as Gleaners Food Bank and many others. During Spring-Break every year there is an opportunity for students to go on Alternative Spring Break! It is a great experience to help people in a different state and enjoy the opportunity.

6. Both in the Fall and Winter semesters there is Welcome Back Week for students to have fun such as capture the flag, a DJ, and it varies every year. Also at the end of each academic year there is a Murder Mystery which is fun as well. Also there is Spirit Week as well which is a lot of fun.

I am so glad that I am a crusader and gone to an amazing school and made some amazing friends along the way. I have gotten involved so much over the past years since I been at Madonna University.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
