If you’re a coffee-drinker, you know that there are endless types of coffee combinations and mixtures that appeal to different people. We all drink coffee for different reasons—maybe for the caffeine, maybe for the taste, or maybe for the look—but ultimately, we are all united coffee drinkers. However, whatever your coffee choice may be, it clearly says a lot about you as a person.

1. Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL)

First of all, don’t let anyone tell you that you’re basic. You just like to spice up your life a little bit every once in a while, or one season in a year to be exact. You love fall and are more than happy spending your fall days cozied in a blanket with your Pumpkin Spice Latte, watching the colorful leaves fall as you sip shamelessly.

2. Espresso Shots

You keep things short and to-the-point. You know exactly what you want and need, and you don’t need any milk to keep you happy in life. You mock those carrying around their sweetened coffee to class because you’re just once-and-done. Some may call you pretentious, but at the end of the day, you’re just plain confident, and maybe even slightly “alpha,” in your choice.

3. Iced Coffee

You want the joy and love of coffee without the sweats and burning your tongue (and the price tag). Let’s be honest, they taste the same anyways, just this one is cold. Not only are you fiscally responsible and intuitive, but you love the way your iced coffee accents your cute outfit. You most likely take your studies quite seriously, as each sip of iced coffee jolts you awake to study more for that big essay you have to turn in tomorrow.

4. Black Coffee

You live life on the edge. You don’t need cream and sugar to satisfy your taste buds. It’s nothing fancy, but you appreciate the taste of bitter coffee by itself. Most importantly, it gets you through the day quickly. Plus, you enjoy the simple things in life. Some may call you edgy, risky, or kicking butt, but you’re honestly just fabulous. Keep kicking butt, my simple friend.

5. Cappuccino

You’re pretty put-together. Some may call you a hipster, but in reality, well… you know that may very well be true. But you’re just put-together, appreciating the intricate foam designs for exactly what they are, which is pure art. You might be found in a corner reading Odyssey articles or a little architectural magazine at your local café. You may be a little on the quiet side, but your fashion sense speaks loud and clear. Also, it goes without saying that you have more than a few pictures on your Instagram to show off that lovely leaf art.

6. Red-Eye

Okay, you’re a little crazy. You can’t settle for just the black coffee—you need that extra oomph to get you through the day. Your eyes may be bigger than your caffeine-tolerance, but you know what you’re doing. You may just be a coffee connoisseur. You’re most likely a professional procrastinator and probably have a 30-page paper due tomorrow. But you’re a fighter—a survivor—and you sacrifice the taste for the effects.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
