Actually, Your College CA CAN Be Your Friend, Too

As my first semester as a college freshman comes to an end, I would like to take the time to thank one of my CA's.

Coming into college, I was always told to hide everything from my CA's and not to try and get to know them. I was taught that your CA was there to catch you doing things you weren't supposed to. They were the monitors to take away the fun you were supposed to be having in college.

The truth is, you can have a lot of fun with your CA, and they truly don't want to do all the paperwork, so they don't want to catch you doing things you shouldn't be.

My CA's are people that I have become very close with in college. I know that I can go to them with anything and always talk to them. One CA, in particular, I have become very close with. We are good friends and consider each other family.

Lexi is there to tolerate my crazy, have many laughs with me, and pick me up from the airport on my way back from my trips home. Not to mention she is always up for late night food adventures when needed.

She is the friend that will help you with your homework and the friend that will distract you from that same homework...

Lexi's family has been my family when I am in college and even when I go home to New York. They are always there for phone calls and visits when I need them.

If I didn't take the step of ignoring the things I was told about CA's before I got to college, I would never have built these relationships.

So, Lexi, thank you for being there for me no matter what. Thank you for distracting me from my homework. Thank you for going with me in late night food adventures, and thank you for being my family.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
