Your 20's Through Spongebob

Little did we know when we were kids that Spongebob would be showing us all we'd be dealing with when were in our twenties.

Your 20's Through Spongebob

Your twenties are a weird and changing experience and there's only one thing that can describe it all, obviously Spongebob. We all know Spongebob is a dirty little secret we all keep every time we flip to it and binge watch in the middle of the day or on a Sunday morning. Although something we haven't noticed is how real Spongebob actually is and how much we relate to him.

1.) Going out at night.

This is probably the only time in our lives where we can go out at night half dressed with our hair and make up all done at our absolute prime and no one can judge us because were in our 20's.

2.) Trying to eat like we used to.

How is that all our lives we ate whatever we wanted with minimal work in the gym and still stayed so thin? That time in our lives has definitely come and gone. That drunk pizza you had last night is going to be stuck with you for the next month.

3.) Going out dancing.

We all go out at night thinking were professional dancers and dance the night away without a care in the world what everyone else is thinking.

4.) Getting a real job.

We're at that point where we actually have to grow up in some sense and work ourselves like crazy to actually get money and promotions.

5.) Still needing your parents.

I know we like to act like we have our lives together and don't need our parents anymore. but when your sick or had a rough day we all know being tucked in and a kiss from your mom could totally help.

6.) When you see your friends after months.

Whether its friends from back home or your friends from college that moment when you see your long lost best friends the excitement is unreal.

7.) Getting your first paycheck.

Having a real job and getting real money always is an awesome change and when you finally deposit your first check you act like you're literally swimming in money.

8.) Mid-mid life crisis.

Somethings just don't work out, like not getting the job, not getting the apartment or accidentally spending all of your money. So your mid-mid-life crisis consists of you thinking you can still start up a band and make that work for you for the rest of your life.

9.) Not having your life together.

There are those days when the world is upside down and everything you do is just wrong. Better luck tomorrow.

10.) Reality hits.

Then you get used to the real world and that things aren't perfect. But remember you still have your imagination and you can pretend that you have your shit together.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
