My family has always been a very important part of my life. Up until the age of seven, I was an only child, then, my first baby brother, Dominic, was born. Seven years later when I thought my family was done growing, I was told that I was going to have another brother, Kaleb. I'll admit that I was not entirely happy to have a second sibling, looking back now, though, I do not know why I was even upset. Kaleb has been one of the greatest blessings in all of our lives.

Now that I have left for college I am realizing I should have spent way more time with them. Afterall, I have had to be their role model for the past 10 years. I wish I would have shown them how to appreciate each other more. It might be annoying at first to have a younger brother follow your every move, but you definitely learn to appreciate the shadow. Despite all the issues and problems we might have all had, I love you both with all of my heart, and I would not trade you for the world.

To Dominic, specifically, keep your head up. Understand that you need to start getting ready for your future now. Everything that you do these next few years will set your course. If you need help deciding on something, ask me, and I will help you to the best of my ability.

If juggling school and other activities become too much, ask me for help. If there is one thing in this world that I know how to do it's juggling everything in my life. I am here as a model, and I hope you can learn from both my accomplishments and mistakes. I hope you set high goals for yourself and do all that you can do to reach them.

Always challenge yourself. If you are not being challenged you are not learning or growing. High school is right around the corner, and I hope to see you follow in my footsteps. However, if you do choose a different path I will be just as proud and support you just as much. My best advice to you right now is to take a look at the people around you; family and friends. Love and appreciate your family and friends. If your friends are not on the same path as you, understand you can make new friends. You do not want to have anyone in your life holding you back from what you want to be. You will change the world some day, and I cannot wait to be there next to you seeing everything you have accomplished.

To Kaleb, please stay as young as you are right now. I know you cannot do that, but you have no idea what I would give to be four again. With that being said, I am very excited to see you grow. I wish that I had more time at home so I could witness all the little things you do.

You are starting preschool next week, and that is so exciting! I feel like you were just born a month ago, but you are four and starting school. I know that with all of the family and love that you have, you will go just as far as your brother and me. Have fun being young and playing with toys because life goes by faster than you would think. I know when this is read to you it won't mean much, but when you are older and can read this for yourself I hope you appreciate it because I mean every word of it.

I love you both to infinity and beyond, and I will always be here for anything and everything you need.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
