This one is for you guys. I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to me. No one in this world could replace you. You are absolutely perfect to me. I don't want you to ever think you can't tell me anything out of fear of me or your father to get mad at you, and yell and fight with you over it. Just know that yes we will be mad, but we will get over it and hope you won't do it again. I don't want you thinking you're all alone in a big world that is filled with the good and bad. I will always be here for you no matter what. I know you guys might get angry at your Father and me, but we are just trying to look out for you.

Just think for a moment that I brought you into this world a few years from now, you not knowing anything about this letter that I'm writing to you guys, and you aren't here at this moment, but I can honestly feel you guys reading this in the future. I type a lot, yes, but I'm just trying to get my point across to you kids.

I love you, and I don't want you to feel like I don't love you at times when you do things that you know you aren't supposed to do, or be afraid to tell me something that you know will break my heart, but would never hold against you. Please, just tell me. Tell me anything, I'm here to listen. I'm not going to judge you, neither is your father. Yes, this is a cruel world filled with cruel people, but your Father and I aren't of those people. Don't be afraid, please, don't be. We are here for you, and you are loved.

Please, if you aren't sure about your sexuality, just tell us, we won't disown you.

If you want to be a different gender, we won't be mad.

If you are smoking, we will be ticked off, but we help you quit.

If you are drunk at a party, don't feel like you can't call us and be yelled at, just call anyway and we come and bring you home.

If your heart is broken, it's alright, they weren't good enough for you anyways. There will be more fish in the sea.

If you feel like giving up, don't worry, we will be there to catch you and motivate you to do better.

If you do something illegal, I'm afraid we can't do much, and you have to learn the consequences that come with your actions.

All in all, don't feel like you can't come up to us and tell us what is wrong in fear of us judging you or punishing you for it. We won't judge, and we won't punish you. We just want what is best for you, and not do anything bad, but do good in life and you will have positive things coming to you.

Love you loads. xxxxx

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
