In the middle of a long, exhausting day of classes, you will find me here in Union
Square. Here is where I feel her spirit most of all. Sitting all alone on a bench I
take in the crisp, cool breeze; a million tiny bumps the size of a grain of sand
appear all over my body. The wind is free and spirited, just like you. It cannot be
contained and it cannot be controlled. Your beauty is in the trees. As they rustle, I
smile, remembering those eyelashes and your awestruck laugh. On a sunny day,
your love is found in the sky. Oh, the way you loved. Your love was overflowing
and seemed almost endless, just like the bright blue sky that shines warmth down
on me. This warm is exactly how I felt when you would wrap me up in your arms;
I would tell you that you were squeezing too tight, but secretly, I never wanted
those hugs to end. This is my favorite place to be because this is the place
where I truly, in my soul, feel as if you are sitting right next me on that
bench in Union Square.
