You Will Find Love

Because God's love never fails.

At basically any point after age 12, we start questioning why we haven't found love yet. At a young age we don't understand how love works, but as we get older, it becomes clear why so many people want to be in love. Love is precious. It makes you feel whole, like it fills the void in your heart. Love makes you feel wanted, it makes you feel valid. It makes you happy, and everyone's goal in life is to be happy.

It gets hard. Without a doubt, you will be discouraged by the absence of love in your life. Whether it be an absence of a parent's affection, your siblings, your friends, or a significant other, it makes a big impact on your mental health. You will feel the urge to give up and plan to be alone the rest of your life.

The one thing people don't focus enough on when it comes to love is God. Praying happens less often when one isn't happy with their life. When you lose faith in your love life, your faith in God usually lessens with that. What should happen is the opposite. If you're 16 or 46, it doesn't matter if you have someone in your life or not. With prayer, faith, and patience, God fills that void in your heart.

One of the more popular books of the Bible is 1 Corinthians when it comes to love. To be specific, people look to 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..."

Love is hard. You will feel empty and you will lose hope that you will find someone who really loves you. It happens to everyone. But God promises that if you pray and have faith in Him, God is all you need to find love. He is greater than all the love in the world, and His plan is great. The world cannot comprehend how great His love is. When you put your faith in Him, He will persevere and He will make you feel loved again.

God has the ultimate plan for you. He has something so great planned out for you, something so perfect at the end of the tunnel. Look to Him and you will find love.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:

We all have a person, and when that person makes some new friends, we tend to forget all the great things that can come out of it. Never forget how special they are to you and why you are best friends.
