Throughout life, you are given many reasons to feel as if you are not enough for a person, a job, a sports team, or something that is important in your life, but you cannot allow the hardships keep you down. You will always be told, If only you had this quality of... If you could run a little faster... Maybe when you are older... and so much more that it gets to your head.
These hurtful comments may be intended as constructive criticism, but if all a person hears is how to improve themselves it can be demeaning. I myself take criticism personally, which makes me give myself unrealistic expectations.I have always been the child that wants everyone to be proud of her. I strive to be the best in everything even when it may be far out of my reach. With doing this I have been told multiple times that my dreams are unobtainable, you cannot do that, or that you are not enough for whatever it is you are doing. Once I realized that I was enough for God's plan for me, enough for my parents, and enough for my soul mate my life has been nothing but advancement. My only wish was that I heard this advice sooner in life. This is why I a writing this, to help you out when you feel as if you are not enough, just as I did.
When you feel as if you are not enough please remember; God has something planned for you, you are only hurting yourself when you are not chasing your dreams, those against you are just jealous, and self fulfillment means more than trying to please others. Always remember it is not what others see in you, but what you see in yourself. You cannot hurt others by going for what you dream of; so go for it full force.
Ashley Saferight once told me, "You are enough for you, and that is all that matters." After hearing those words, I realized how much more potential I have than what people give me credit for. I have changed my life around, and hopefully you will also realize how important it is to be enough for yourself. You are amazing, you are intelligent, you are gifted, you are you.
