I am tired of seeing kids put their children in a car without a car seat and without a seat belt on! Are you kidding me? There are laws regarding car seats for a reason. I don't care if you think that your five-year-old child is going to be "embarrassed." Your child is five they will get over it. I promise. Your five-year-old is not going to remember being in that car seat, or be mad at you for it in the future. Your child's safety should come first.
Do you know why I am tired of seeing children without car seats and seat belts? It's because I don't want to see your child dead.
I do not want to see you get into an accident and your child get severely hurt, when it could have been prevented. I am a teacher and I am passionate about children. I can't control the way you parent your children, but I can guide you to keep your children safe.
Safety is key when you are a parent, you need to make sure that your children are always safe. Driving is one of the top causes of deaths and injuries in America so while your child is in the car you should always maintain his/her safety. You should always make sure whoever is driving your child is also ensuring their safety.
Here is a chart of all of the different ages of children and the height and weight that they should be for the types of seats that they should be in. All children younger than the age of thirteen should ride in the back seat. This is something that is ignored all the time, but it should not be.
Back seat passengers have 60% better protection in side impact collisions. Buckling up in the back seat reduces the chance of death by one-third.
My advice for you is to be safe. Put your child in a car seat, buckle up and follow the law!
