ocean
pulsating through veins that stick out of me like branches from a tree
with the death of another minute it all goes on
your waves crash through me
the rawest form of beauty; the waves
you have the ability to help me swim
or the force to push me under
deeper and deeper into the abyss
until my fragile lungs are no longer fed with air
my brain goes onward like your waves
cycling into whirlpools
what lurks in the deepest parts of you?
are you hiding hungry sharks that will eat me
eat me alive with no regards to the pain I will face
as I drip red
or may I thrive in the deep parts of you
thrive on like the child of the ocean I am
for I have made my home in the ocean
and you are the one with ocean waves for eyes
blue is the ocean
blue are your eyes
eyes that can cause me to sink or swim
you are the ocean
help me thrive in you
