Life gets stressful. It's a known fact. It happens to us all, whether you're drowning in school work or your job, or just feel overwhelmed by life. Most of the time I feel like a chicken with its head cut off. I personally love having so much to do because I love the feeling of checking items off of my to-do list and the satisfaction of completing a tough task. But sometimes in the midsts of everything I'm involved in, I find myself feeling discouraged. Why? Because that's just what happens as a side effect of being so busy all the time. Luckily, there are people who are present in my life who keep me going down the right path. If you ever feel the way I do, here are some words of encouragement to keep you going as well:
"You're doing a good job."
This is my absolute favorite thing to hear when I'm stressed out to the max. Being told you're doing a good job is like a breath of fresh air. It's so reassuring to be recognized for your hard work.
"I'm here if you ever need someone to talk to."
As lonely as you can make yourself feel in a time that's overwhelming, there is always someone there to hear your thoughts and give you words of encouragement. Don't shut out the world because it is full of people who are ready to be at your side when you need it.
"It'll be worth it in the end."
Remind yourself that it may be crazy right now, but you will end up on top when all of your work is completed.
"Life can be tough, but so are you."
Don't let the stresses of life take control of who you are. You can fight anything that is thrown your way- remember that. Everyone has an inner strength to conquer life's battles.
"Take care of yourself- alone time is okay."
I know that I am the type of person who makes sure that everyone is doing well before I look within myself to see how I am doing. It is very important that you check in with yourself when you feel yourself becoming overwhelmed. Don't forget that sleep and eating food are
"It's a bad day- not a bad life."
Each day only lasts 24 hours. You may have a bad day, or a bad week, but it gets better. It may not seem like it, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope that you find reassurance through these affirmations. Thank you to those that have helped me along the way and continue to push me to do better.
