You Need To Get Close With The Strong Girl

It won't be easy, but it will be worth it

The beauty of most of our relationships in life is that we get to choose them. Aside from family members or coworkers, we get to decide who we want as a friend or as a significant other. We have friends that are like family and acquaintances who we choose to spend time with once in awhile. All of the people we choose to get close with have different personalities and backgrounds and all bring different perspectives into our lives. However, I promise that choosing to love a "strong girl" is one of the best relationship choices you can ever make.

A woman with a strong personality doesn’t do anything in life half-way. Decisions are always made involving the utmost thought and detail; they are never taken lightly. The strong girl is deeply passionate and will have aspirations that go much farther than many people dare to dream. There are days that frustrate her, because she feels like she isn’t achieving the things that she needs to. Sometimes, there are so many things on her plate that she struggles to tackle them all. But, no matter what, she will always be working toward something and will always be there to support your goals.

A strong woman is fiercely loyal. Sometimes, it takes a while for her to warm up to people. She’s used to being let down, because many people aren’t used to taking friendships and relationships as seriously as she does. However, once she trusts you, she will be there for you, 100 percent, no matter what. She will answer her phone at 3 a.m., remain by your side through any hardship, and help you to stay on track when it feels like everything is falling apart. She will want to protect you from people that hurt you, and do whatever to takes to make you happy.

When you get close with her, prepare to expect the unexpected. A day in the life of a passionate woman can sometimes get hectic -- she can go from being extremely happy to extremely upset in a matter of minutes. She will always be a challenge for you, but the more you are there for her, the more she will love you. She needs to know that you will stay through the toughest of times, so she might test you. She will always provide adventure and excitement; nothing will ever get boring.

She will push you to be your best self. Strong girls don’t have patience for people who are flaky. If she knows you well, she probably won’t put up with you being less than your best self. She will always be there to help you if you need it, and be your biggest cheerleader for success. Although it might come off as tough love, she knows what you need to hear, and won’t sugar-coat it.

Getting close with a strong girl isn’t easy. It can be exciting, tumultuous and, sometimes, extremely frustrating. On the days when you want to walk away, force yourself to stay. Those are the times she needs you more than ever. The good news? She will never leave you questioning how she feels. She will tell you if she’s mad, if she’s happy, if she’s scared or if she loves you. She will let you know what she needs. Communication is never a problem with her.

A relationship with a strong, passionate girl is the best kind you can have. It will be filled with loyalty, excitement and love. Every day will be a new adventure, and you both will be constantly learning from one another. It won’t be easy, but once you have her love, you’ll never lose it.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
