Every major has a stereotype, Art majors are hippies, pre-med majors are doctors and political science majors are lawyers. Well that is a stereotype, not all political science major want to go to law school. Like most people we have no idea what we want to do with out lives. This goes out to all my Political Science majors out there, that I know we can all relate too.

1. You get excited during election year

It's the Presidential election year and for the first time in your young adult life, you can vote for the President and you actually know whats going on in the campaigns. While this is probably the most social media active campaign, it still makes your heart rase just talking about it.

2. DC is heaven for you

Having been to DC three times in the past year, I have to say it is one of the places that makes a Political Science major feel like home. You are surrounded by history and business suits. When you walk around the places where laws are made, the little voice in your head says, "You will do that." And you love it.

3. You have to correct people when they say you are pre law

Everyone thinks you are pre-law, while you can be a lawyer with political science. You can do a lot more besides being Elle Woods.

4. You have CNN, FoxNews and most major networks on your phone

While most people have games and such you have apps to get your daily dose of International politics and local news.

5. You have worked for a political event

It's a dog eat dog world with politics. So in order to get a good job after college or law school. You need to have worked on a political event. I'm not saying be on Hillary Clinton's campaign, but even volunteering for your local mayor is still great experience.

6. When non poli sci majors start talking politics you have to bite your tongue

Everyone and their mother love to run their mouth about politics and you have to hold your tongue before you say something you will regret. This is your major and you live for politics and while it might be so hard to do, you have to hold your tongue.

7. You are obsessed with a one or more political show

Scandal, How to get away with Murder and House of Cards are just many of the political shows you are obsessed with. While they aren't real, they still are exciting.

8. You're body is made up of 70% caffeine and 30% oxygen

Political Science majors read a lot for their classes, like hundreds of pages a week. So we need coffee to stay awake and not pass out in class.

9. You get a rush doing anything political

Anything political gives you a rush, watching a debate to lobbying in DC. It is a rush and such an amazing feeling.

10. Being a member of Congress or the President is one of your goals

Political Science majors look up to politicians, not all but there are a few that you want to be when you grow up. Me personally Amal Clooney and a few other women in politics are my role models. Being in Congress is your highest goal and looking at the white house gives you that ambition that you can do this and that all the reading and long nights are worth it.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
