1. You look forward to the regular season more than the post season.
We know, we know. The Caps are famous for not being able to win a Stanley Cup, even when we're the best team in the league. We get it, but we appreciate you reminding us of our shortcomings EVERY YEAR.
2. You can make jokes about your own team in the playoffs and not feel *too* sad about it.
Call us bad fans, but Caps twitter is unmatched with its memes and jokes about our own team. We've gone through so many years of bad playoff experiences and mishaps that all we can do right now to cope is make fun of ourselves. And to be honest, we're pretty funny.

3. You are in a constant state of anger when people blame Alex Ovechkin for the Capitals inability to win a Stanley Cup.
ONE PERSON DOES NOT MAKE A TEAM. IT IS A JOINT EFFORT. THAT IS ALL.
4. You'd rather have the TV on mute instead of listen to Pierre McGuire commentate a game on NBCSN.
Unless you're a Pens fan, you might want to hit that mute button on the TV when this guy shows up. If not, get ready for a whole LATTA (still #46 on the ice to me, much love) Sidney Crosby love even if the Pens aren't playing.
5. Nate Schmidt being the seventh defenseman makes you cringe (that guy should really be on the ice all the time, am I right?)
This guy. 'Nuff said.

6. RMNB is your absolute favorite twitter page in the history of ever (let's be real, those guys are fantastic).
CRASH THE NET // SCOAR -- you can't not love these guys (seriously follow them on twitter!)
7. You make jokes about Jay Beagle being the best player in the NHL, but they aren't actually jokes.

8. "BONINO, BONINO, BONINO" haunts you.
Yes, yes, we're ALL aware of how last year's playoffs went. This man's name is the equivalent of that bad guy in Harry Potter. He must not be named. We're done talking about him now.
9. The term "second round exit" means something to you.
After the second round is where we normally stop hearing anything about the Caps in the playoffs...because they've been eliminated...

10. You love your team unconditionally even though they make you want to hurl yourself off a cliff sometime.
No matter how much heartbreak I feel every year, I'll always love my boys and be thankful that I'm not a Pens or Flyers fan.
