You Know You Grew Up In The '90s....

I love the '90s.

There was something magical about being born in the 1990s. The 90's had the best shows, toys, games and snacks. I have compiled a list of the most memorable '90's fads that everyone will remember. Whether you were born in the '90s or just grew up the '90s, I know you'll love reminiscing.

1. AOL Inc.

Logging into your AOL profile with the worst possible screen name you could think of. (Cute2Boot193) Clearly I thought that was the "perfect" screen name. FALSE. I loved perfecting my "Kids Only" profile.

2. Calling from a landline

Everyone remembers calling their BFFL on their cordless home phone to tell them to log into AOL so that they could chat with their friends about their newfound crush. Or the most amazing part of the landline was 3-WAY CALLS. You and your gal pals could talk for days when you had 3-way connections. Ah, memories.

3. Xanga

Once Xanga rolled around, everyone went batshit crazy. I mean, who doesn't want to communicate their feelings about their dating lives and friend disputes along with posting mirror pics? Xanga was the start of the social media scene.

4. Game Boys

I would spend hours on end playing on my Game Boy. I must have had 30 plus games that included Mario, Disney movie games, Scooby-Doo and so on. I may or may not still have my Game Boys...

5. All That

To me "All That" was the kids' version of "Saturday Night Live". I literally lived for "All That". The show always knew how to crack me up. From Ask Ashley with Amanda Bynes to Good Burger with Kel Mitchell, "All That" had an amazing run. I also totally still remember the theme song "Oh! All All All All All All All this is all that..."

6. The Amanda Show

I love Amanda Bynes, and when she got her own show, I about lost it. I couldn't wait to return home from school to turn on the television and watch "The Amanda Show." My top three favorite skits would have to be The Girl's Room, Judge Trudy and Hillbilly Moment.

7. Disney Channel

Disney Channel clearly had the best montage of shows and movies from "Lizzie McGuire", "Even Stevens", "That's So Raven", "Smart House" and "Zenon".

8. The Sims

I would literally spend half of my day glued to the monitor constructing my make-believe family on The Sims. Of course, I would be married to my crush of the week, and we would build a house together and have two kids and live happily after ever. I mean that was what The Sims was all about, right?

9. Furbies

Okay, Furbies were literally terrifying. You would walk into your bedroom and these little bitches would somehow come alive and kill you with their death glares. I'm scarred for life.

10. Trolls

Everybody had at least one troll doll. Those things had better hair than I did. If you were really cool, you had the Trolls with the multicolored hair. Those little Trolls were so random, but they could be besties with your Barbie.

11. Bratz

Okay, so I never had a Bratz doll, but I was totally jealous when all my friends got them, and I just had to sit there with my Barbie doll. Bratz were the best, because you could literally take their feet off (sketchy) and replace them with cool new kicks. Their outfits were so hipster and on point.

12. Polly Pocket

I remember receiving my first Polly Pocket in one of those little heart cases and thinking how amazing she was. I would spend days on end perfecting her outfits and making sure her little Polly Pocket friends looked cute, too.

13. Morning Cartoons

RUN! It's 7 am and it's cartoon time! Morning cartoons on the weekend were the highlight of my weekend.

14. Red Rover

When it's recess everyone would crowd around and prepare for the most epic battle there ever was. Red Rover was the game everyone played, and if you didn't participate, then you were missing out. "Red Rover, Red Rover, send...."

15. Hide N' Seek

I personally loved hide n' seek and finding the perfect hiding spot. If you played it outside, it was the best. I would literally plan out my ideal hiding spot so no one would spot me.

16. Snacks

The '90s had the best snacks of all time including Gushers, Danimals, Rollups, Bagel Bites and Sunny D, just to name a few. I could definitely go for some Gushers or Bagel Bites right about now.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
