You May Not Feel Like It Right Now, But You Have A Purpose

There is a reason you are alive, you may not know it at the moment, but you will eventually.

Have you ever gone through life and lost the point? Your purpose slips your mind and you start to think why you are still moving forward when you have no reason as to why. I've been there - I think we all have. That is a normal thing to think and a hard thing to go through. In no way am I saying that you should think like this, in fact, I am telling you why you shouldn't.

Whatever you are going through in life, it will get better. No matter what life throws at you, you have a purpose; you have a reason for being here and being alive. It may take time for you to see your purpose, but you will find it. If I am being completely honest, I am not really sure if I have found my purpose yet. However, I am okay with that because I know I will find it one day.

Everyone has a purpose. That purpose could be small like rising a child and making them what the best they possibly could or decorating someone's house and making them a house that would help them feel at home. Maybe it is a big purpose like saving someone's life or becoming president and changing the world. Everyone has a purpose, you will find it.

Personally, I am leaving purpose to God. I will always believe that He has a plan for me and there is a reason behind everything He puts me through. Through all of it, I will find my purpose and my point. There will always be something to make you think that you have no point. If there is something that makes you feel like you have no point, that is unfortunate. There are two things I do when I feel like that: Turn to a friend and turn to God.

Throughout your life, even if you don't feel like it, always remember that you have a purpose. There was a reason you were put onto this earth and a reason you are here right now. Don't take your life for granted. How I am finding my purpose is through writing. Whether I write it and share it or write it and keep it to myself, it still helps me find a purpose and think of what my point is. Like I said, I am unsure of what my purpose is, but I have an idea. I am starting the believe that my purpose is helping people and I choose to do it through my writing. However, I am not totally sure if that is it, but that's okay.

A person can have more than one purpose; multiple reasons to be alive. Mine could be helping people along with something I haven't figured out yet. You might have a purpose right now but there will be more along the road. Even if one purpose is all you find, that is still so important. Never forget that there is a reason behind your life. You may not think that right now, but there is.

If you don't feel like you have a purpose, talk about it. You won't start to feel better if you keep all your feelings inside. You have people that are there for you, go talk to them. You are not alone. You have people that are here for you. If you don't want to turn to them, turn to a higher belief. Personally, I chose to turn to God in my times of struggle.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
