Recently Oprah Winfrey, yes THE Oprah, endorsed Hilary Clinton by saying, "You don't have to like her!" Oprah explained that voting for Hilary is not an invitation for her to come over for dinner, but it is the right choice to make. If you like this country, you must vote and vote correctly.
This is the first time Oprah has vocally endorsed the Democratic candidate and she did so in an interview with a pastor. She explained her support for the candidate as, "“She’s not coming over to your house! You don’t have to like her." “You don’t have to like her. Do you like this country? Do you like this country? You better get out there and vote. Do you like the country? Do you like freedom and liberty? Do you like this country? OK. Do you like democracy or do you want a demagogue?" It is clear that Oprah does not stomach the thought of Donald Trump as President and she is right- you don't have to like her.
The election of the President of the United States should not be a popularity contest. You don't have to like Hilary Clinton as a person. You can hate her hair, her laugh and her pantsuits, but you have to realize that she has the knowledge, the background and the qualifications to run this country, even if it is only for four years until we find someone better to do the job. You don't have to have a sit down conversation with her, ever. You just have to put your support and your vote towards her and help this country escape the possibility of a Trump presidency.
Just like Oprah Winfrey, you don't have to agree with every idea Clinton has, but you have to admit she is at least reasonable when she comes with ideas. Hilary Clinton does not plan on deporting millions or building a fortress around the "land of the free." At the end of the day, there really isn't any choice. You do not have to like her, just be reasonable with your vote.
