You Don't Have to Be Dying to Have a Bucket List
Bucket List

Bucket lists are a famous aspect for the terminally ill. I am 19, I have a bucket list, and I am (hopefully) nowhere near dying. You don't have to be on your death bead to have a list of things and goals that you want to achieve in your lifetime.

Here are some great reasons on why to have a bucket list:

They're a great way to decide vacation plans!

Personally, I'm a wanderer at heart and my bucket list is full of places where I want to travel and certain monuments and art that I want to see. So, when it comes times for my family to plan our yearly vacation, I already have ideas on where i would like to go and what I need to see. This makes deciding when and where you like to go for vacation, so much easier. It's also great in the fact, that you already know what you would like to see while you're there. This has given me so many opportunities that I never would have had if I hadn't wanted to go to the area in first place. Last summer, my bucket list included going to National Aquarium while I was in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia area. This aquarium visit allowed me to do something I never would have otherwise. I touched a jellyfish. It was one of the weirdest things I've ever done, but also completely worth it. You will be surprised by what you actually go see and do once you have a bucket list. This brings in my second topic:

They'll cause you to do things, that you would have never done otherwise.

My bucket list has caused quite a few new experiences for me, and it has been great. My bucket list is the Ultimate Bucket List that I bought from Barnes & Nobles, and it has caused me to try things that I thought I would never do and it's been absolutely great. Number 217 is to ride a a mechanical bull, and last year at a sports show in my hometown, there was a mechanical bull and I figured it's in my book and why not? I had an amazing time riding and would end up trying it three more times. My bucket list has honestly brought me out of my shell and made me enjoy life so much more. You'll always have something different and unique to tell people.

They're a great bonding experience with friends.

While I am the only one of my friends that has a bucket list, it has created unforgettable memories with them. Number 284 was to have a spa day, which my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed doing. All of my friends and I have felt a greater sense of adventure since I began using the book. Not only are we creating memories together, we are creating unique ones. Your friends will thank you for the adventures that you can go on.

They're a wonderful way to organize thoughts and dreams

Every time I see something new and that I would like to try, I add it to my bucket list. My bucket list is full of things I find interesting, but it also full of my life goals. Some of my ist are basically steps in how to get where I want to be in life, and it just makes me even more excited for my future.

In the end, your life will become so much more interesting than before. Your adventures will also make pretty bomb Instagram posts and tweets.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
