You Deserve The World

It is time to give yourself more credit for how amazing you are

You Deserve The World

You deserve the world. Sometimes it is hard to see yourself in a positive light. You feel like everything you do is wrong, you are not good enough, and no matter how hard you try things just will not go your way. Negative thoughts are more easy to think of than positive thoughts. For some reason we tend to see the bad in ourselves rather than the good. Our amazing qualities are overshadowed by the things that we wish we were or what we want to become. It is time to take a step back from that a realize who you truly are: an incredible human being.

You are good enough. Hard to believe but you are and you need to start giving yourself more credit. Just because someone does not see your worth does not mean you are worthless. It does not mean that you aren't good enough for them but that they were not good enough to see how wonderful you are. You are also good enough to pursue your dreams. You may hit some blocks in the road and setbacks, but never give up. Life is a big challenge but you have the strength to overcome every single obstacle. You are good enough to do whatever your heart desires.

Breathe in the positive and out the negative. We can easily see the flaws we have, but I promise that there are less flaws and more good things about you than what you actually see. You are way too hard on yourself. You are beautiful, unique, and gifted. Take a moment out of each day and think about what you love about yourself. Soon enough you will start to believe it the more you think about it. Whatever it is that you do not like about yourself probably is not as big of a deal than what you really think it is. So start loving yourself and quit shaming yourself for who you are not, because you deserve to love yourself and feel the beauty that everyone else sees in you.

Finally, start putting yourself first. Do what makes you happy and not what everyone wants you to do or what you think will make others happy. It is always good to be considerate and kind to others, but more import to be kind and considerate to yourself. The more you make yourself happy the more you will be able to spread that joy to others. Putting yourself first will lead you to many wonderful opportunities, and a happier life. Just make sure you surround yourself with postive supportive people who encourage you to be the person who you are, and do the same to them. You only have one life so be as happy as you want to be.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
