The Ultimate San Diego Brunch Bucket List
Washington DC

Who doesn't like brunch? Brunch is ALWAYS a good idea. San Diego is home to multiple restaurants that are most popular for their brunch and here are a few you SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY check out:

1. Snooze an a.m Eatery

Located in Hillcrest, Snooze is one of the most popular brunch restaurants. Their menu includes omelets, pancakes, waffles, french toast, huevos rancheros, etc. The atmosphere is very upbeat with top hits music playing throughout the restaurant and the service is excellent. Because of the popularity, there is always a little bit of a wait, especially on the weekends but ENTIRELY WORTH IT. Rate: 9/10

2. Breakfast Republic

Located either in Liberty Station in Point Loma or North Park, Breakfast Republic is one's definition of brunch on crack. I mean you can't go wrong with Churro Pancakes and S'mores French Toast. You will not regret it! Rate: 10/10

3. Fig Tree Café

Located in PB, Fig Tree Café is another winner. Similar popularity to Snooze in terms of wait lines being long, but once again the menu makes it worth it. Menu items include coffee flights, breakfast sushi, and brownie french toast. Rate: 7/10

4. Wow Wow Waffle

Now trying saying that 3 times in a row. Located in North Park, Wow Wow Waffle has more options for waffles than you ever thought there could be! Waffles vary from plain and simple to cookie butter (gingerbread cookie spread) to Number Seven which is bacon baked in brown sugar, avocado, and goat cheese. YUM! Rate: 7/10

5. The Blend Superfood Bar

Located on Mission Blvd. in PB, this is where you can satisfy your pitaya and acai bowl cravings. This is one of the best places to grab acai/pitaya bowls in Pacific Beach. So if you're addicted to acai like me, I suggest you go! Rate: 8/10

5. Mission Café

Located on Mission Blvd., this is another hot brunch place. They have options from gluten free to vegetarian to health nuts to accommodate all people. Their menu includes items such as Mission Cinnamon French Toast, breakfast burritos, and the Mission croissant. Always packed too--aka it's delicious. Rate: 7/10

6. Cody's La Jolla

Located in La Jolla (my personal favorite part of San Diego), what's better than brunch with a view of the ocean? NOTHING. A little on the pricier side, but the crab cake benedict, the bacon and cheddar omelet, and the maple nut granola are worthy of the price. Rate: 8/10

7. Shorehouse Kitchen

Also located in La Jolla, Shorehouse Kitchen is one of my favorites. First of all, they serve breakfast till 2:30 pm: SCORE. Secondly, nothing sounds more appealing than the crispy parmesan risotto and honey cured bacon benedict and brioche breakfast grilled cheese sandwich. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Finally, they have a "Doggie Menu" to keep dogs happy too with items like "The Brunch Bark Bowl" (Eben Haezer free range scrambled eggs and honey cured bacon) and The "Treat" (honey cured bacon bits) Rate: 9/10

Work hard, brunch harder.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
