"I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me
Here I am
Here I stand
Lord, my life is in your hands
Lord, I'm longing to see
Your desires revealed in me..." - William McDowell
God has a path for everyone. Despite trials and tribulations, if you let go and allow God to do his will, everything will fall into place. We often try to do what we feel as though is right, without consulting with God. Whether it's a new job, relationship, or opportunity in general-- if things aren't working out after continuously praying to God about it, the situation was not in God's plan.
Everyone has some kind of picture of how we want our lives to be; whether it is a dream, aspiration, or goal. Even though what you want may seem picture perfect to you, it might not be what God intended. It took a ridiculous amount of time for me to realize such thing. After being continuously turned away from something i desperately wanted, I had to accept the fact that it wasn't in God's plan. After thanking him in advance for the opportunities he will put in my life, I was offered an even better plan.
Letting go can be one of the hardest aspects of being a Christian to some. Of course it can be scary, however faith is something that can move mountains. Knowing in your heart that God is going to provide and deliver all of your needs is a feeling that beats no other. Because of the fact that people feel as though they have complete control over their lives, letting go becomes harder. It is impossible for you to be used as a tool without allowing God completely in.
After letting go, and letting God have his way within you, life begins to become clearer. You aren't as stressed as you use to be, and you begin to focus on being a better person. A huge burden is lifted off of your chest. Now, instead of worrying about every aspect of your life, you can focus on thanking God for the things he has put there. God said, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
