You Attract the Energy That You Put Out Into the Universe

Everything we think, feel, do, has an effect.

We attract what we are, not what we ideally desire ourselves to be. Whatever energy you put into the universe is exactly what you will receive back from it. Though I might not be able to entirely explain such a phenomenon, I can say that it is somewhat analogous to Newton's third law of motion or to Quantum Physics. Newton's third law of motion essentially states that every action has an opposite and equal reaction.Though this law is used to describe physical motion, it can also in a sense be used to describe a much broader idea of energy. This is also where quantum physics actually gets involved. In it's most basic form, quantum physics strives to explain the nature of the smallest scale of atomic and subatomic particles, and the vibration and movement of such particles, including all forms of energy of course. In fact, some have even claimed that quantum physics even supports ideas such as "The Law of Attraction". Which as I have said, essentially just states that like energy in the universe attracts like energy.

When I look at some of the things I have been blessed with: love, happiness, success, meaningful friendships, I sometimes shake my head in disbelief at how blessed I am. And sometimes I even catch myself asking how I got so lucky. But the answer is pretty simple. Like energy attracts like energy.

I tend to consider myself a very happy person in general. When I'm not hangry, or deep in thought, you can usually catch me with a smile on my face. Even in the worst of circumstances, I always try to look on the bright side, even when such a thing is difficult to do. Still, even with being as happy of a person as I generally am, I'm only human and life can get me down sometimes and I have to work hard to not allow for negative thoughts to consume me. I actively choose to try and think positively and because of this, I tend to attract positive energy, positive people, and positive situations into my life rather than negative energy, negative people, and negative situations. Because of the way that I think and the positive energy that I project, my reality has been shaped by these two factors.

Regardless of where the idea that you attract the energy that you give comes from, there is a lot of truth behind this way of thinking. While you might not have control over every situation which happens to you, you are in control of how you react, and that's what's even more important.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
