You are more. Three words. Ten letters. And yet still a big meaning behind it. Everyone is worth it. No matter how low things may be or even get. And it doesn't even matter what your past was, or the choices and mistakes you've made, YOU ARE MORE. Don't ever put yourself down and think you aren't worth it.
In 2010, Tenth Avenue North released the song "You are more" and I believe it has such a strong message behind it. It the right words that some people are struggling saying. I think the middle part of this song makes it because of what the words say.
You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.
No matter the choices you've made, or the past mistakes and not even the problems that you create. You can be remade. This just gives me so much peace because knowing no matter what gets me down or the choices and mistakes I've made I can always be remade.
'Cause this is not about what you've done,
But what's been done for you.
This is not about where you've been,
But where your brokenness brings you to
Even with the things that happen to you, whether by you letting it happen, or people doing it to you. You can always be put back together, no matter how broken you are.
This is not about what you feel,
But what He felt to forgive you,
And what He felt to make you loved.
During the hard times, and the amount of emotions that get tossed around, God makes you feel that he indeed forgive you and he makes sure you feel loved. You are more. You are more than enough. God has this huge plan for all of us.
This song has just, such a beautiful meaning behind it. It constantly reminds us that YOU. ARE. MORE. Tenth Avenue North writes this song so nicely with such a powerful meaning.
The Holiday's are rough when you get to a low point. People are really good at hiding emotion when it comes to people checking up on them. People most of the time say, "I'm fine" or "It's going to be okay" But in all honesty they often times don't want to express themselves and what they're going through. You just need to give them a constant reminder that they are more and they are worth it.
Whenever I get on Facebook or any social media and I see someone passed away due to suicide because of bullying or anything that is holding them back and they get to the breaking point of no longer being able to handle the pain and brokenness. My heart aches everything I see or even read something about it. I wish there was more I could do. But if we were to give them a constant reminder that YOU ARE MORE they'll know they can trust you and we can help them through the hard times.
You are more.
