You walk up to the full-length mirror. You stand there and look at your reflection. The images of what you see on the television screen and in the magazines run through your mind. You start to pick at every flaw. Too tall, too short, too thin, too big. My ears stick out, I don't have long enough legs, I don't have a six-pack and I have acne on my face. The list goes on and on.
In today's society, we are pressured to look a certain way. It's hard to ignore the 'ideal image' that is around us. We always compare ourselves to one another along with the people that we see on the television screen and in pictures. I'm not trying to knock down anyone who looks like this in any way. I just want to say that no one should have to strive to look a certain way because of what society has told us how we should look. We should not be putting one image above the rest and saying that it's better than every other image out there.
God made each and every one of us differently for a reason. If we all looked and acted like one another, then it would be really boring.
Today, I want to tell whoever is reading this, that you are priceless. No one can ever replace you because God only made one you. No matter what you have heard or what you have seen, I want to tell you today, that you have so much worth. You are worth more than all the money in the world. Don't you forget that. I even have to remind myself sometimes of my worth, and not to compare myself to others because I'm just as guilty as any of us.
You are priceless.
You are irreplaceable.
