It's the time of year every students knows too well. The spring application boom is upon us all. Acceptance and rejection letters explode into mailboxes, and are torn open by shaking hands. If you've ever applied for college, graduate school, jobs, internships, or anything, then you know how demoralizing the process can be sometimes.
We do our best to make ourselves look polished and experienced. Everything about us boiled down into bullet points and GPAs. It is stressful. It is hard. The accumulation of years of hard work typed up concisely into a one page resume and a brief personal essay. With that, we send our hopes and dreams away in the mail. The outcome completely in the hands of someone who has probably never even met you.
You are more than that piece of paper. Not every prospect will work out for you. Right now, it might feel like everything is uncertain, but this is only the beginning for you. You have purpose and worth well beyond what any application could ever portray.
You are so much more than a piece of paper.
