We live in a day in age where you are labeled one way or another. You are labeled through your religion, political views, sexuality, and many other ways. Why does one label have to define who you are as a person? Is your skin color, religion or anything else really all that you have to offer? Because someone believes in one thing, doesn't mean they are everything that label stands for. We are living in a world where people are hating others for their label, and I absolutely hate it.
Each person on this planet has their own way of thinking, why do others punish those who don't think the same way as them? I can barely scroll through my social media without someone bashing someone else for something they said. The problem is, everyone thinks their views are superior to others. No one takes the time to understand why someone has different views and opinions than them. Instead of automatically shutting them down, listen and think. In the end, if you still don't agree, that's fine, but you still shouldn't hate them simply for the way they think.
I am sick and tired of hearing on the news about people killing, and hurting other people because of the color of their skin, or for simply just having different views. As a human being, you should love and support others. The world is full of so much hate right now, why add more? Why spread hate that your parents, children, family, and friends can see? I am a firm believer in expressing your own opinions, but there are other ways to do it than hate.
I will never label myself, that's my own personal choice. Next time you are scrolling through your Facebook and see hateful post, scroll past it. Start sharing more positive things, a little positivity is really what people need right now. Always remember you are more than a label slapped onto you by society. Always remember to be kind to others, even if they have different beliefs than you. Please don't automatically hate someone for their skin color, religion, political views, or anything else that makes them the unique individual they are.
Spread love, not hate.
