We've all been bent and broken to the point where we feel hopeless. We've felt like there was something wrong with us, and like no one could ever love us for it.
We have these feelings of self doubt and pity because we feel like there is no way anyone could ever find something to love in us. Being broken isn't something that can keep you from being happy, it is a part of us that makes us unique.
Your brokenness does not define you. It is a part of who you are, but it isn't all that you are.
We may feel broken, but we are survivors of what brought us down. We are warriors who fought against the odds. There are so many incredibly wonderful things about us that overcome the brokenness we face. We are strong and resilient and can battle anything that is thrown our way.
So many times we feel as if we have to settle because our brokenness has made us unloveable. We are taken advantage of in our relationships because we think it is the best we can get. The people that broke us left us feeling unworthy of anything more than the troubles they put us through.
No matter how you feel today, someone is going to love you because you don't let your brokenness consume you. Someone is going to love you despite every tear that stained your face and scar that is on your heart. God will place someone in your life that will be what you need to heal, because He fearfully and wonderfully made us. We are marvelous, even through our brokenness, because His works are incredible.
You are going to find the person who assists in your healing because it is part of God's plan for you. They could be miles away, or closer to you than you thought. When you find the right person, they are going to love you even though your past may have been messy. They are going to understand you and relate to you, even though you felt like nobody could ever understand.
You can't let this part of you tell you that you aren't good enough to be loved by someone. Just because your heart is a little battered doesn't mean that no one could ever love you. Jesus loves you despite your biggest flaws, so someone will come into your life that can love you despite your past.
Everybody has a story to tell. Whether or not you're comfortable telling it to the world or keeping it hidden away, there is someone out there that is going to make you forget about what it is that broke you in the first place. If you fully rely on God, He will lead you to someone who is capable of helping you cope with your past. You are beautifully broken and there is someone out there that will love you for that.
