Not too long ago, life was care-free; your 20s was spent going out every weekend at a bar or a club. Your friends would adore the energy you brought in the room. You felt Indestructible, courageous & had the world at your feet. The friends you have became family, while you figure out life as a grown man. The parties never seems to end and the cute bartender knew you all by first name so drinks were on the house. As every birthday passes another friend starts to fade away, not because the friendship is no longer there; they all have new lives now. A new job, a new house and even a new family that no one thought would come around so soon. You eventually start to take more notice of the pictures your friends' share of their wives and kids, they look so happy. Then you hear that small voice in your head asking, 'when is it my turn?' ignoring it makes it worse

. You have became depressed, a little anxious just more alone than ever; the solution was simply going out to meet new people, but they just come and go, like a ghost. The cycle of having a tough job with very minimal sleep led to partying a little too hard & waking up with whomever you wanted. Soon you started to think less of yourself and eventually the idea of 'true love' disappeared from your mind for good. The cycle continued but you only gotten better with time. Your heart is protected. You ignored phone calls, causal dating but never sex. Sex was less intimate and your needs as a man had to be met whenever its willing. On the outside there is so much confidence; that it's powerful enough for people to never notice the pain that's carried inside your heart. Behind closed doors that confidence became insecurity. Guarding your heart reminded you the last time, you've fallen in love which led to the trust issues; you hate having.
The words people say about 'the right person will come to you,' 'you won't be single for long' or 'settle down with the next person you date & let it be' means nothing. I see a man that is strong, but yet gentle. He knows kindness will get anyone further in life than anything else. A man who is human and isn't afraid to fall in love at the right time. The man you are is a wonderful man. Maybe there is mistakes that have been made, but that doesn't make you any less of a man. Being a man of God is powerful. You're royalty, so it doesn't matter if there's a Queen standing beside you or not. Everyone adores a man of greatness. One day you'll think back and realize the purpose of your greatness. Here's a hint, you're a gift from God himself so therefore you are a gift to the world. Allow that light you're born with shine. Be a brother, a friend or mentor; whatever you decide to do with your gift, Jesus Christ will guide you through it. Fill your soul with enriched love and you will receive the same love back, but greater. God has a plan for you and he will be bless his son.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
