The Netflix Show Everyone's Talking About: 'You'

It's basically just Dan Humphrey with a knife.

If you haven't watched "You" on Netflix yet, you definitely should. Based in New York City the show circulates around Joe, a bookstore manager, who becomes obsessed with a young woman named Guinevere Beck. It revolves around his stalking ways into her life from stealing her phone to following her when she leaves the house. Beck has people in her life that Joe is jealous of and that he feels like are messing up her life. The show has been set for another season in the next year, which will feature a few new characters.

Another thing that I found interesting was that there are five facts that most people probably didn't know about the show. I always like looking up things like this because they're always pretty interesting and sometimes answer questions you didn't know you had.

Beware a few spoilers ahead!

Penn Badgley didn't want to play Joe at first because the show is framed as a love story, which he found conflicting.

The bookstore in the show is actually a real bookstore in New York called Logos Bookstore.

Candace wasn't always supposed to come back at the end.

Peach Salinger got her name because author Caroline Kepnes thought it was "annoying."

Kepnes said in an interview, "I also thought peaches were perfect because they're ripe and delicious, and then they're spoiled, poison, they attract flies, they can make you sick," she added.

Kepnes came up with the character Joe while in a coffee shop.

I'm so excited for the next season and to see how they continue with Joe's character without him getting caught. Hopefully, girls will stop tweeting Penn Badgley asking him to kidnap them in the meantime.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…
