Valentine's Day is just a day for high expectations that are just unattainable for both parties. Whether it's a fancy dinner at an expensive restaurant, a ring, or lots of flowers with chocolate. I don't understand why this day is a thing.
What is the point of it? We spend tons of money for our significant other for one day. We shower them in love and gifts. Why though? Why don't we just do this on a regular basis? Why do we need a holiday to show our loved ones that we do indeed love them? I truly despise Valentine's Day.
What I don't despise is all the candy that goes on sale after February 14th because let's be honest, the good chocolate is expensive to by on a regular basis, so why not stock up?!
Another plus is Victoria's Secret has a sale every year just for this day. I know I already have plenty of sports bras, but why not one more? And yes, my whole cabinet is full of perfume, but 2 for $10 is something I just can't pass up.
Valentine's Day also means....JEWELRY! Who doesn't love a new pair of earrings or bracelet? Kohl's has 25% off all jewelry and watches.
And my good friend, Groupon, has many deals! From massages to wine to cheap top dollar personalized gifts for myself! How could you ever go wrong with that?
Oh, we can't forget about the food. Qdoba has a promotion where if you kiss someone (or something) at the register, you get a free entree with a purchase of an entree. Now I have dinner for that night and lunch for tomorrow!
Don't want Mexican? Logan's Roadhouse is doing two meals for the price of one, and who doesn't love steak!
So, I guess even though I despise Valentine's Day all together, I still enjoy the perks of the day...especially the chocolate!
