Yes, My Boyfriend Is My Bestfriend

Yeah you read that right..my boyfriend is my bestfriend and I will say that loud and proud every time you ask why he always happens to be with me. So many people this day and age seem to have a big problem with a girl considering her boyfriend to be her "best friend" because apparently that is just not okay. A boyfriend is supposed to come after a girl best friend right?

I have many girl friends that I love to death and will do anything for in a heart beat, but yes if someone were to ask..my boyfriend's name will be my answer to who my bestfriend is and that comes along with a long list of reasons...

My boyfriend knows every little detail there is to know about me and he still happens to love me anyway. Now of course I tell my girlfriends things..bu they don't really have to experience my worst habits first hand. Especially if you live with your boyfriend you should know there is no more keeping any secrets from each other. He now deals with the fact that I may keep my room the messiest on the planet and I also take five hour long showers. But he also never can remember to put the toilet seat down and also doesn't clean up after shaving his beard in the sink, so it's a pretty fair game.

He listens to everything I have to say whether he really wants to or not. Your boyfriend is like a diary except you don't even have to take the time to write things down. And on top of that, your boyfriend is pretty much automatically sworn to secrecy. He has no choice but to listen to my constant complaints about what drives me cray about some of my girlfriends, trying to work full time while also going to school full time, divorced parents probs, and obviously the never being happy with myself complaint.

He will never turn down Pizza and Wings. I have told my boyfriend on multiple occasions that one reason I love him so much is because he eats just as much as I do (and that is a lot btw). Never once has my boyfriend had to turn down some beer or nachos because he needed to "look good in a new dress" or "get ready for wearing a bikini".

My boyfriend is my #1 Fan. And if he isn't then you got the wrong boyfriend. I know that no matter if I just woke up with smeared makeup on my face and my hair a mess or I could be looking the best I've ever looked and I know either way he will still tell me how beautiful I am.

We will always have each other's backs. My boyfriend is my right hand. I know that I could be completely wrong in a situation, but I know he will be right by my side backing me up. Good or bad, we are there for each other. Being with someone means being there through it all whether you agree with it or not. It means standing by each others sides and not giving up on one another.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
