Ok, here’s the thing, I do not condone Donald Trump’s recent comments about women and I find them absolutely disgusting and offensive. That being said, those things were said over a decade ago during a private conversation. If he had said them last week, it would be a different story.

While Donald Trump was not my top pick for the Republican Presidential nominee, I am not going to sway my political position just because I don’t love the guy who is advocating for it. Although I am disappointed in the comments made by Trump, I still plan to vote for him on November 8th and here’s why. He might be a narcissist, but that is better than a pathological liar with a secret agenda. Hillary Clinton becoming president would be the worst thing to ever happen to America since “Baby” by Justin Bieber. Having to choose between someone who used a private email server to exchange government information and then deleted the evidence, silenced her husband’s sexual assault victims using scare tactics, illegally obtained FBI files to protect her foundation, got a child rapist off on charges, left our soldiers to fight alone during an invasion in Benghazi, and was fired from a Judiciary Committee, or someone who said mean things is a no brainer for me. Clinton is also endorsed by Saudi Arabia, a government who hires women for sex slavery and belittles women’s integrity, while claiming that she is a feminist. Really?

While we’re on the topic of women, let’s talk about how everyone is so disturbed over the horrible things that Donald Trump said and how that “degrades women”. Then let me ask you, who bought over 125 million copies of “Fifty Shades of Grey”? (A book in which a young woman is physically and emotionally abused by a man in the name of sexual pleasure) Surely not women who have total respect for themselves! Honey, please. Don’t you dare go give "Fifty Shades" a five-star rating and then rant about how Trump “degrades women”.

Clinton also changes her position on important issues depending on what the people want to hear. For example, in 2008 when she was running for office, she stated that she believed that there was a link between vaccines and autism, urging parents to consider not vaccinating their children. But in 2015, Clinton proclaimed herself an advocator for the pro-vaccine crowd, saying that anyone who was against vaccines was a “luddite” (globalreserach.ca). We can’t trust a politician who changes their stance on important issues every time that they speak! So while I am bothered by Trump’s recent comments, I continue to be more concerned over what Hillary has DONE over what Donald SAID, which is why I will be voting for Trump in November (and you should too).

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
