Yes, Even Happy People Get Pissed Off

Trust me, it happens a lot more than you think.

Recently, life has thrown me a lot of curve balls and I have tried to handle it with as much as positivity as possible. It's easier said than done though. It is a constant struggle to be kind and level headed. Most people know me as somebody who stays positive, and fights through things (yes, I complain) but I always keep it to a minimum and try not to freak out. However, there are a few things that I really do freak out about:

1. The freaking snow

Ho ho how I hate winter. And of course, living in Michigan, all it ever does is snow.

2. People who chew with their mouth open

Seriously, close your mouth. It is not that hard. Just freaking close your mouth.

3. LIARS! Oh my god how I hate liars

Why you always lying? Just tell the truth. It is not that hard. Seriously, you did something wrong? Tell me. You do not like how I look? Just say it. JUST TELL THE TRUTH!

4. People who hate dogs

How is this even possible? Someone please explain this to me! These little creatures are a gift. All they want is love and affection. How on earth could you hate them???

5. The fact that Pretty Little Liars Is STILL on TV

Seriously, why? I know it is finally coming to an end, but a small part of me feels like they are lying about this.

6. Starbucks still does not deliver?

I like coffee, coffee makes me happy. Me with coffee means you get to live another day. Starbucks really should realize this and deliver.

7. What is sleep?

Haha. Sleep and I broke up a long long time ago. I am still mad at him for leaving me. And honestly, I do not think we will ever get back together.

8. Professors who think that you are only taking their class

I am a full-time student, plus I work. Why do you have to assign enough homework to last my full four years?

9. Slow walkers

Come on, pick up the pace. And we all hate them. I know it is not just me.

10. Why did Apple take away the gun Emoji?

World War 3 is about to break out over this. No, I do not want to shoot my upside down smiley face with a squirt gun! #BringBackTheGunEmoji2016

11. The fact that food is not free

WHY? Food costs so much money. And honestly, I do not have it. I love food. I deserve food. Lets make all the foods free!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
