New Year's Eve is often a time of excitement! The ball is about to drop in New York City, it's nearing a new year, and expectations are high that it will be a great night. Yet, when it gets to be the day before New Year's Eve, sometimes, plans can fall flat. Here are some expectations and realities of New Year's Eve:
1. Expectation: You will party all night!
Reality: You try to organize a party with some friends, but it is too late and people have other plans.
Although, I am an introvert, so I enjoy staying home and relaxing.
2. Expectation: You drink eggnog.
What a delicious drink!
Reality: You try to be health conscious so you drink sparkling cider instead. Or another healthy option. Nw year, more healthy drinks!
3. Expectation: The ball drop will be so exciting! Yay!
Reality: Meh, that was not as exciting as I thought. Why did I stay awake?
Don't get me wrong, I love New Year's Eve. I love staying awake with my mom and watching the ball drop; it's nice bonding time. But sometimes, there is way too much hype involved.
I hope you had a great New Year's Eve, and that 2017 is off to a great start for you! And if you did have eggnog, I envy you.
