America loves Nick, and I'm not talking about myself this time.
"The Bachelor" is by far one of the most controversial television series out, specifically because of the candidate this season. Whether you're discussing the fact that a man is dating multiple women at one time, women that all live in the same house on national television, or maybe you're talking about how Nick shouldn't be given another chance after his missed connections already. It doesn't matter if you're #teamNick or not, because I think everyone can love this season of The Bachelor.
Last week we saw 8 girls go home as the number went from 30, brand new and ready to impress, women to 22 excited and anxious young gals. This year is already started on a good foot. Lets talk about it.
First, 12, yes 12, of the women wore a red dress and on top of that nobody knows why. Some people say that red could be Nicks favorite color but if you ask me, I think there was a secret alliance made before the big season premiere.
Secondly, the more things change the more they stay the same. Doctors and dentists continue to overcrowd the selection of "wife-to-be's". Let's talk about the girls that made a less-than-rose worthy first impression. First there was the lovely Briana who was a surgical unit nurse that pulled out a latex glove and said 'bend over." Maybe a Colonoscopy isn't the best way to make a first impression. Then there was Ida Marie who made Nick participate in a trust fall. Their trust was quickly broken when she didn't receive a rose. Oh and Angela, who was one of the 'red dress gang'.
Thirdly, lets talk about Elizabeth, Nick's one night stand. Really I don't know what more I could say. Nine months before the show, Nick hooked up with one of the future contestants at a wedding. Of course at the time none of this was ever thought of so no harm, no foul. Liz received the last rose after her competing speech of "oh Nick I know that I didn't want you then but I really want you know and it not because i'll be on television I swear" (not the actual quote but probably her actual thoughts). All the while America sits at home trying to figure out the math behind that...
Lastly, and I did save the best for last,
