Thanks for making me not weird

Dear High School and College Best Friend,

I don't know where I would be without you in my life! You and I have been through the ups and the downs in the past six years. I would not be the person I am today without you.

You get me into trouble and out of trouble, and always know how to make me laugh about a bad situation a week later. We can make anything fun, even if it's just making a necklace at midnight.

All those late nights in high school and midnight car rides with six other people in the car were nothing compared to going to Michael's with my mom and coming back to my place and making more jewelry. We really know how to party!

All those late-night talks about how we're going to go tanning and get skinny every summer together, only to sit on the couch and drink margs instead and go to McD's super late instead of something healthier!

Thanks for always knowing how to blare Jesse McCartney, Justin Bieber, and Nick Jonas sitting outside my house and my sister not knowing what to do so she walks off and thinks we are way weirder than we really are.

Thank you so much for always being there for me no matter what happens, and never judging me. It's been six years — let's make another 60 years!

xoxo,

Jordan

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

As frustrating and annoying as it can be, being a girl is really awesome. We are beautiful inside and out. Not a lot of people may see that, but girls have a ton of amazing qualities.

We have unique flirting skills.

Us girls have a significant way to flirt with other people. Even when we say the most random or awkward things, we have a way of making everything sound cute and planned. It’s just a gift; we’re good like that.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
