Have you ever lost something important to you? When was the best day of your life? Don't you want to tell a lot of people at once how your day went?

All of these questions can be answered through a simple, ordinary article made by YOU here at Texas Tech University!

Writing for Odyssey gives me the opportunity to have a voice and to send my thoughts out to friends and family at the same time.

Writing, in general, has made such a positive mark on my daily living too! It allows me to get inspired a lot more often and to get out of my comfort zone that is, sharing my thoughts with others.

In the past, I've never been one to express or pitch in my two cents in a group discussion. I've always been a listener even though I had just as much to say as the others did!

When I heard about the Odyssey at Texas Tech, I thought to myself that maybe this is my chance to create a voice for myself and to get out of my comfort zone once a week.

I applied, made it through and began to find myself admiring writing more and more. It holds a special place in my heart and it has turned into an outlet for me to organize my thoughts.

As a writer, I firmly believe that this art can expand your skills as an intellectual anywhere you may end up. The working world, music industries, medical fields, you name it.

Before you think to yourself that writing isn't for you, GIVE IT A CHANCE. Do NOT be afraid. I always felt self-conscious about my writing skills all throughout High School because I had a lot of competition and other people had better essays than I did.

As soon as I got to college, I decided that I didn't want to feel that way anymore so I quit trying as hard. I used to stress about every sentence that I wrote down and it began to annoy me so I avoided as many situations that involved writing as I could UNTIL my friend Alex introduced me into this wonderful organization.

My first article went up a week later and I received some of the best feedback I've ever gotten on my writing. This gave me confidence in myself to keep this up and let it take me wherever I may end up.

Ever since, I've made some amazing friends, have touched many lives outside my little circle of people, and made a grain of difference in my community.

I am honored to be apart of Odyssey's community and I hope that this encourages you to join our family of writers at Texas Tech!

If you do not attend my school or just so happen to be reading this article in support of myself, branch out! Write for YOURSELF. Whether it be through a long Facebook post or on paper, give it a go! It is honestly such a stress reliever and it is super relaxing for me so you never know what it could do for you.

If you're new to my page, thank you for reading and I wish you the best week! Stay hydrated in this heat and WRECK EM.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
