In today's society, it is hard to not want or enjoy the amount of attention that could be handed at any moment. The attention could be a self-esteem boost, it can make one feel like they matter or they're seen. I understand that feeling like you're not invisible is a feeling unlike any other. I understand that people reading your work, and your writing getting out there in the world is an amazing and beautiful thing. Yet, everyone seems to be straying from what writing really is. Writing is a creative expression, a way to get thoughts and ideas from each corner of your brain into the world; in a beautiful way.

Writing has a purpose. I understand everyone's ideas are different, but that is no reason to push a piece of writing out in the world that you are not 100% about, or something that is half-assed because you had to make a deadline. Writing is not something you have to do, it should be something you want to do. If you're not fully immersed into your work, if you don't love each word with every fiber of your being; what is the point? Writing is a passion just like any other, and it should be used as such. There are so many ways to make a piece a work of art. Using descriptive and flowery language, making a story, telling a true set of events in an adventurous way. How can one say their passion is writing if all they're willing to write about is their top five favorite Keeping Up With The Kardashians episodes? If you're writing, write to love and tell a story, do not write to push mumbo-jumbo into the world.

Words are the back-bone of everything. Without words, there would be nothing. No communication, no describing anything; the world would be incredibly different. Every language is a love language, so use that to your advantage. Take the thoughts from deep in your mind, and let them soar. Let every word drip from your tongue onto your fingers and let them have their way. See where your mind takes you. Writing is more than what any website or pre-teen novel has to offer. Writing is more than listing. Writing is beautiful and should never be used unless it is of it's full potential. Write from your heart, write from the furthest places in your mind. You never know where it might take you. Writing is not about shares, it is about passion.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
