See You Later, Odyssey

Odyssey has changed the course of my writing forever and it can do the same for you.

See You Later, Odyssey

The Odyssey is a place to express your ideas freely, write as many opinions as you want, and read interesting insights on events going on in the world today. This platform has provided me an incredible opportunity. Before publishing my work here, I was only writing in my journal or working on short stories. Applying for Odyssey was a step I took to get my writing out in the open to be read. It was something I was nervous about–that is, before this space allowed me to do so.

If you are reading this and considering whether or not you should become a content creator, take this as your sign to apply. You will be welcomed with a warm, kind community where the group chat is constantly buzzing with GIFs and jokes. You will be able to connect with people you may never meet in person but will still care about as if you know them personally. You will be able to have a voice on the internet–a voice that may inspire or touch someone in a way that you never imagined.

Though my time at Odyssey has come to an end, I am forever grateful for the creative individuals I've encountered and the variety of pieces I've written.

Write on, friends!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
