Hey you! Yeah, you reading this article. If you are scrolling past your social media feed and decided to click on this site, you are probably wondering why you should post on Odyssey. I know you are interested, I can feel it. You have either thought about it before or just now thinking about it because why else are you reading this?

Let me tell you first hand at how amazing Odyssey is and why you and everyone you know should join an Odyssey community.

1. You can write about anything

Whether you are into sports, pop culture or just want to write about what is going on in your life, good news, YOU CAN! Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I wanted to join Odyssey is because you have the freedom to get your voice heard and talk about whatever you want, and I truly mean whatever. One week you can write about how Kim Kardashian's workout is amazing to get the perfect summer bod, to how the Red Sox's kicked the Yankees butt to even talking about your college. Literally, the options are endless.

2. Looks great on a resume

If you need a booster for your resume saying you are a writer, editor or have leadership experience, a site such as Odyssey is amazing! People from everywhere around the world can read your articles. If you want to be a writer later in life, this is a fantastic place to start! You are already writing and getting out there, so might as well put this on your resume. Having said that...

3. Experience writing

Let me tell you when you write papers in college, they can be super boring and really don't feel like they help your writing when you are constantly getting told you are wrong. When you post on Odyssey, you submit one article each week, so that is writing experience every... single... week. You also have amazing editors to help critique your writing and let you know how you can improve. You are getting experience on how to write, what type of writer you are and how to become a better writer. To me, that is a win-win-win scenario.

4. The community

By community, I mean family. Who you meet while part of Odyssey is absolutely mind-boggling. While writing in college, I have met people from all different backgrounds, majors, experiences and have really felt a bond between everyone because we all have one thing in common: Odyssey. Everyone encourages each other to write a banging article and give each other ideas on what to write. They have your back and will be there for you always.

5. You will love Odyssey

Since joining Odyssey, I have absolutely fallen in love with it. Sometimes I can feel stressed and not feel like writing an article but then I think about how much fun it is. There are days where you may not have any ideas, motivation or time. But the Odyssey family will understand and will help you and work with you. You will not regret joining your local Odyssey community ever and I highly encourage you to do so.

So, if you read this article, you are thinking about joining an Odyssey community and all I can say is DO IT! You will fall in love with Odyssey, the community and writing. I highly encourage you to write. Don't be afraid to try something new, go ahead and WRITE!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
