WrestleMania 34 : Predictions
Ezra Jeffery

Recently, I have been writing a lot of posts about the WWE and I have been so obsessed with watching it every week to pregame for WrestleMania 34 on April 8. I only started watching wrestling in December of last year, but I am already a huge fan of it all. This is going to be my first WrestleMania and I honestly can not wait any longer! You never know what the WWE has in store for the biggest stage of them all but here are my predictions for the matches that we know of already!

Universal Championship -- Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns: It’s pretty clear from recent storyline that Roman Reigns is walking out with the championship. Brock has been reduced from a full-time talent to part-time, and Roman has been pretty outspoken about how much it bothers him the Brock doesn’t show up to work every week. Brock Lesnar is also apparently talking to the UFC, and we might be seeing the last of him in the squared-circle come WM34.

WWE Championship -- AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: This one is a lot tougher to call. In my mind, Nakamura is going to win, but AJ Styles has been proving to be one of the best wrestlers in the world right now. On Smackdown Live, AJ and Shinsuke have had a better relationship than most competitors, and both of them have been showing each other a lot of respect, actually getting in the ring in tag matches recently.

Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon & Triple H: Ronda Rousey is one of the baddest women on the planet, so it would be no surprise to see her team winning this one. I honestly cannot picture Steph and HHH beating two Olympic medalists.

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn: This match could honestly go either way, but I personally think that Daniel and Shane will beat Sami and Kevin. This could lead to the duo coming back on RAW, since Shane and Daniel fired them from SmackDown Live.

SmackDown Women's Championship -- Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka: There is no way that Charlotte is getting out of this match with the title. Asuka has been undefeated in singles competition for a long time now, and her winning could be a great way to move her over to SmackDown and give its women’s division the push it needs.

Raw Women's Championship -- Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax: This one could also go either way. I think that WWE is pushing Nia Jax and wanting her to become champion but Alexa is a very talented wrestler. Personally, I would love to see Nia win the championship.

Intercontinental Championship -- The Miz (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor: The Demon King Finn Balor is totally winning this one, there is no doubt in my mind. The Miz is totally going to lose to someone, considering he and his wife just welcomed a new baby girl into the world! All three of these competitors are going to give us a great match and it would be so great to see Finn win at his first WrestleMania!

SmackDown Tag Team Championship -- The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers: This match is so confusing for me because as much as I want The New Day to win, I would totally be okay with the Bludgeon Brothers as well!

Raw Tag Team Championship -- The Bar (c) vs. Braun Strowman & TBD: Whoever is the winner of this match honestly depends on who Braun’s mystery partner is (I’ll go into detail on my choices later). If his partner is someone who is not on the main roster right now, I could see The Bar keeping the title. If not, Braun could be winning...

Cruiserweight Championship -- Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali (Kickoff Show): As much as I wanted this match to be Cedric Alexander vs. Drew Gulak, we can’t always have it our way. Cedric would be a fantastic 205 Live Champion and both of these guys are going to give us a great match!

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (Kickoff Show): I could honestly care less about this match TBH. My top five picks are Matt Hardy, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Baron Corbin, or Dolph Ziggler.

WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal (Kickoff Show): There’s not a doubt in my mind that Sasha Banks is going to win this one.Creative has been pushing her so hard recently and this could totally be the push that she needs to be on the main stage at next year's WrestleMania!

Other Notable things to mention:

Braun Strowman’s Mystery Partner??: My pick is none other than The Big Show. I think it would be so fun for everyone involved! Some other people I could see doing it would be: Elias, Kane, Big Cass, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Mark Henry?, and maybe John Cena even though he said on RAW that he didn’t want to.

John Cena vs. The Undertaker: I totally feel that The Undertaker is coming back for one last ride. WWE could honestly make SO much money off of these two that they truly aren’t going to let this go. Plus - we all saw the message Undertaker sent with Kane.

Carmella: This woman has been trying to cash in her money in the bank contract for WEEKS now. This contract essentially gives her an opportunity at a Title Match at any time, any place. We have been seeing her trying to cash in on Charlotte Flair, but honestly, I think she is going for the wrong champion. Even if she did win against Charlotte, there is no way she could beat Auska. Plus Charlotte and Auska is such a dream match. I personally think she should switch over to the RAW women's match and cash in on Alexa and Nia’s match. That would be interesting.

WrestleMania Host?: At this point, it has to be Elias. He’s not in any other match and he’s really the only person left that has a good stage presence and gets the crowd to react. I would be interested to see how they do it though.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
