Don't be a teacher if you aren't willing to do more than the bare minimum.

Dear anonymous,

Not only are you the worst English teacher I have ever had, you are the worst teacher I have ever had. PERIOD.

My experience in your classroom was by far the worst I have ever participated in. May I add, I was an AP student all my 4 years in high school, and this was my first regular English class...so my expectations for my teachers are extremely high. Let's begin with your attitude. You act like teaching your students is a chore, and you don't even pretend to enjoy your job.

Do you realize that your attitude impacts your students? You continuously choose to be a negative influence on every student you teach. You always wondered why your students constantly disrespect you, skip your class, and don't do your homework. Why would they show any effort if you won't?

Secondly, let's discuss your teaching style, which is close to none. Rarely did you ever go in front of the class and teach. Most days consisted of you sitting in your chair while we did worksheets. STUDENTS CANNOT LEARN THROUGH WORKSHEETS! We need lectures, notes, and interaction with each other. But no.

I mean, I know this was a regular class and it shouldn't have a giant workload like an honors or AP class, but you did the bare minimum (if not that, less) to make sure you still had a job. I didn't learn a single thing while taking your class because you were too lazy to teach more than what you were required to. Is this what all regular classes are like? Only teaching students basics to barely get by?

Not to mention, you always yelled at us if you ever saw a sign of life in your classroom. A key part of learning in any classroom environment is student-to-student interaction. What did you find so wrong about that?

Thirdly and finally, you weren't even a likable person to be around. You're barely a person at all, you just seem like a shell. At some points, I thought that you were a sociopath because you have no remorse for any of the hurtful things you say to students regarding a disability, their physical appearance, their thoughts and opinions, their hobbies, etc.

Remember that one time when you threatened a student and got suspended for three weeks? Yeah, you should have been terminated from the school. I have no idea how you're still teaching. If you're not gonna apply yourself to make school a nice experience for your students, then you shouldn't be a teacher at all. You should be ashamed for all that you've done, and you have not done. I hope one day it hits you, but it probably won't.

Sincerely,

Vashti

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
