With the wrap up of both major party conventions these past two weeks, the Democrats and Republicans have a lot to swallow. Hillary Clinton, former First Lady and Secretary of State, faces her biggest challenge to reach the White House, Donald Trump. Trump, esteemed businessman and reality star, has decided to place himself a new arena of business, the President's seat. With what appears to be a divided America, everything is up in the air. The position might be filled with a dishonest woman, or a blunt man. This upcoming November, the United States will be electing their next president.
Hillary Roadham Clinton has many reasons to be the next President, but also some major flaws in her political career thus far.
Cons: Accepting money from outside foreign leaders, the email scandal, blatantly flipping on issues, the Benghazi attack, she's noted as being impatient, and Clinton refuses to release the transcripts of getting over $10 million from Wall Street Firms. Also her vote for the Iraq war continues to haunt her.
But there are many redeemable qualities of the former First Lady.
Pros: Secretary of State for Obama's first term, a New York Senator, and the First Lady, Clinton appears to be one of the most qualified candidates ever. A firm believer in women's, LGBT+, and people of color rights. Raising minimum wage, equal pay for equal work, and criminal justice reform are all strong policies. The most redeemable quality about Clinton is her ability to respect loyalty. If you have her back, she will have yours. vcbv v
Donald Trump has consistently been apart of major business deals, promoting his very own reality show, and has managed to win over millions of voters being outside of political affiliations.
Cons: Trump regularly has been an outspoken man who refuses to apologize for his words. This can obviously cause a great deal of problems when a political figure reflects your nations beliefs. His beliefs are not that great either: known to want to regulate illegal immigrants in a harsh manner such as building a wall, segregation of the Islamic religion from the United States, and he has failed in business before.
Pros: Trump is a strong advocator for the protection of veterans, the businesses that have succeeded are still flourishing, he is also very traditional in his beliefs.
The main difference I see between these two candidates is quite simple. It's how you view the outlook of the US at its present state. Trump sees it as a country who is in peril, whereas Clinton views the nation at a low point, but on the rise for something good. A significant point has been made between the two, Trump believes that he is the sole person to save this country in peril, where Clinton needs the country to unite as one. Where do you stand?
