Sometimes life is just too hard to handle on our own and we need a reminder of how much God loves, and how big He truly is compared to us. Here are 17 worship songs that will remind you of how great He is, and boost your mood on those bad days!

1. Reckless Love

Reckless Love by Cory Asbury is a song that speaks to how determined God is to bring us to Him. The use of the story when one sheep goes missing, He will fight until the one is found, embodies who Christ is and the love He has for us, serving as a reminder that no matter how far we run, he will find us.

2. Real Love

Real Love by Blanca is a soulful song that is fun to blast in the car and sing along to on a road trip. This song reminds us that this world has a lot of misconceptions about our salvation. We don't need to be in church to know what He did for us, we know fully that He died for us, and only His love can heal our deepest pain and fears.

3. Spirit Of The Living God

Spirit Of The Living God by Phil Wickham has a sort of rawness to the song that entices us and makes us want to worship God with all we have, inviting Him to live within our hearts and encourage us to live for Him.

4. Beautiful Things

Beautiful Things by Gungor is a slower song that starts out questioning life itself and wondering if anything beautiful could possibly come from it. As the song builds, it turns into a song of worship and thanks to God for making all things beautiful no matter how bad they may seem in the moment.

5. Come As You Are

Come As You Are by Crowder encourages us all to come before God and give our lives to Him. It is a reminder that God only has love for us and He can heal the deepest wounds.

6. Called Me Higher

Called Me Higher by All Sons & Daughters is an uplifting song that talks about how it may be easy to hold on to our own way of life and living comfortable lives, but we are called to greater things to serve God and build His Kingdom.

7. Nothing I Hold Onto

Nothing I Hold Onto by Ethos Church (feat. Will Shinnick) gives us the chance to full give God all we have and surrender our our understanding of life. As we climb the mountain that symbolizes life, we can climb without fear because we know that our God is behind us.

8. Good Good Father

Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin is a personal favorite of mine, reminding me that God is our heavenly father, meaning he will never fail us and just like our one here on earth, he will guide us through life with our best interest in mind.

I Come Alive by Out Of The Dust is a freeing song that inspires us to lose ourselves and gain life in Christ, as it is the only way to truly life a life of joy.

Our God by Chris Tomlin is a classic song that many have heard. It is one that has people clapping along, singing with smiles, and worshiping with hands lifted high. This song praises God for all He is and all He does for us.

11. Hills And Valleys

Hills And Valleys by Tauren Wells gives glory to God even when we are standing on the highest mountain top, and trusts God when we are in the lowest valley. No matter how high or low we feel we are, God is always there and has a plan for us.

12. I'm Free

I'm Free by Tim Neufeld has a more country pop feel to it with the banjo playing throughout the song. The lyrics remind us that because of what Christ did for us, we are free and we do not need to fear death or anything from the life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
