It’s a good morning, the Cubs are going to the World Series!
What do the Cubs winning and you finding success have in common? It’s a little thing called faith. Whether it be faith in God, the universe, energy, or your favorite pair of socks. Faith will lead you to places you’d never imagine you’d go, not even in 108 years. It keeps you trying, failing, swinging, practicing, and finally coming out as a champion.
When we’re in the middle, a little lost and pretty uncertain, having faith helps us stay calm and let the unknown guide us instead of stop us. The second we start losing faith our thoughts no longer drive us forward and slowly doubt takes over. We become more focused on what could go wrong, what’s already gone wrong, and what we are currently doing wrong. Essentially, we lose confidence and freeze. Whether self doubt or the doubts of others, even the tiniest amount can build the biggest hurdles. And let’s just say this, you don’t win a World Series with doubt.
But with faith, nothing can shake us. We are able to believe, wholeheartedly, that our actions will pave the right path even when some aspects are totally out of our control. Faith allows us to take risks, be curious, and even get a little wild while the Earth works its magic. Sometimes we have to believe that the stars will just align and, when the time is right, the pieces will fall together as they’re meant.
Everything really does have a funny way of working out when our perspective is positive and our movement is forward. We leave doubt at the door and put faith in our starting lineup, accompanied by confidence, patience, love, and Javier Báez. With the right amount of faith and a whole lot of (positive) attitude, we’ll find ourselves wondering how the hell life, with all of its twists and turns, happened. And it’s always so much better than we could have imagined, and that’s the beauty of it!
Inhale faith, exhale doubt and live everyday with a World Series attitude.
Peace, love, beer and hotdogs.
